Events Volunteer

Location: In-person (London and surrounding areas)
Commitment: Event-based, typically full-day weekend events
Minimum age: 18+

Role Description

Image In is seeking friendly, reliable Event Volunteers to support the smooth running of pop-up events and community sessions. Event Volunteers play a key role in creating a welcoming, organised environment for service users, donors, and supporters.

This is a hands-on role involving a variety of practical tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and packing away event equipment, including clothing rails, tables, gazebos, and displays
• Hang and organise clothing ready for styling and sales
• Greet service users and customers in a warm, friendly manner
• Answer basic questions about Image In and its work
• Support second-hand clothing sales during events
• Help load and unload vehicles
• Run errands and provide general support as needed throughout the day

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Aged 18 or over
• Friendly, approachable, and reliable
• Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting and standing
• Able to commit to being present for the full duration of an event

Desirable

• Experience supporting events, stalls, or community activities
• Confident communicating with the public

Time Commitment

• Events typically run for most of a day
• Usually held on weekends
• Volunteers are ideally available for the full event

Support & Guidance

• Clear instructions provided on the day
• Support from the founder and other volunteers throughout the event
