Social Media Volunteer

Location: Remote with occasional in-person support at events
Commitment: Flexible / ongoing
Minimum age: 18+

Role Description

Image In is seeking creative and thoughtful Social Media Volunteers to help grow awareness of our work and reach the communities we support. This role focuses on creating engaging, values-led content across our social media platforms while maintaining a warm, dignified, and affirming tone.

Social Media Volunteers will work closely with the founder and follow a clear style and marketing guide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Produce short videos and clips suitable for social platforms
  • Monitor trends and identify opportunities for relevant, appropriate engagement
  • Take photos and videos at events when required
  • Collect and write up testimonials with care and consent
  • Create simple graphics in line with Image In’s brand guidelines

Content & Approval

  • Some content may require approval before posting, depending on availability and topic
  • Clear guidance and brand direction will be provided

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Aged 18 or over
  • Interest in social media, content creation, or digital storytelling
  • Strong awareness of tone, consent, and representation
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Desirable

  • Experience with Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube
  • Basic skills in video editing, graphic design, or content scheduling tools

Time Commitment

  • Flexible and ongoing
  • Tasks can be completed remotely, with occasional in-person content capture at events
